Stockity Demo Account

The Stockity demo account gives you a virtual balance to practise trading without risking real money. It's the safest way to learn the interface, asset types, and how fixed-time trading works before depositing real funds. As a guide, an IDR-denominated demo may show a virtual balance of around Rp140,000,000 (it can be reset and differs per account).

Use the demo to test strategies and get comfortable with the order flow. Remember: demo results don't guarantee real-account results — the emotions and psychological pressure of using real money are very different. Treat the demo as practice, not proof of profit.

For beginners, the demo account is the safest place to make mistakes. This is where you learn to read charts, understand order duration/expiry, and see how payouts and losses work — all without losing real money. Use this period to build discipline: set your rules before an order, record the outcomes, and review your decision patterns.

How to use the demo

  1. Register / log in

Create an account (free) or sign in. The demo account is available automatically.

  2. Switch to Demo mode

Switch your account to Demo (virtual balance) from the account selector in the dashboard.

  3. Practise orders

Pick an asset, set amount & time, and watch the outcome without real-money risk.

  4. Review & note

Note what worked and what didn't. Only consider a real account once you understand it.

Important limits of the demo

The demo can't replicate one crucial thing: the psychology of real money. With a virtual balance, losing 'hundreds of dollars' feels trivial, so you tend to take bigger risks than you would on a real account. Many traders who are 'profitable on demo' end up losing once they use their own funds, because fear and greed change their decisions.

So don't treat demo performance as proof that you're 'ready' or that the product is 'profitable'. Fixed-time trading remains high risk and most retail users lose money. If you move to a real account, start small, apply the same rules as on the demo, and stop when emotion starts driving your decisions.

Common demo issues

Can't find demo mode
Check the account selector (usually atop the dashboard). Update the app/refresh if it's missing.
Demo balance ran out
It can usually be reset/topped up from demo settings. Look for a 'reset balance' option.
Want to switch to a real account
Switch the account selector to Real, then deposit. Start with a small amount.

Demo account FAQ

Is the demo account free?

Yes. The demo uses a virtual balance and requires no deposit.

Do demo results reflect a real account?

Not fully. Price conditions are similar, but the psychology of real money is very different.

How much is the virtual balance?

It depends on the account currency and can be reset. For example, a USD demo shows around $10,000 and an IDR demo around Rp140,000,000. Check your own demo account for the exact figure.

How long should I practise on the demo?

There's no fixed rule, but practise until you consistently understand the order flow and stay disciplined with your own rules — not until you're 'profitable', since the demo doesn't reflect real-money pressure.
